As soon as I read the synopsis, I had a good feeling about this book. It had all my favorite components four times. I love reading thrillers and this book has not just one but four fantastic thrillers for my liking. Needless to say, this one became my favorite of the short stories that I have read this year.
It has four horror stories all set on college campuses. Each story moved at the perfect pace. Not too racy but just the right amount of details to grab the attention and building up the suspense and each ending was very satisfactory. I don’t want to give away any spoilers because the suspense is amazing and I don’t want to ruin it for anyone. Let me just say, that it will give you a good scare.
The stories also have other elements that revolve around college life and it might make you nostalgic at some points. The writing is very good. To write horror stories is tough. It needs to provide the details to keep interested and build up the suspense as well. The author has done an amazing job on this front. The writing just lures you into a different world. It grips you and some scenes were chilling to the bone. You can finish the book in a few hours mainly because of the suspense. You would want to know the ending soon. I was so into the book that I got startled when my dad stood behind me while I was reading. I am very satisfied that I read this book. All I wish was that I had read it sooner.
I would rate it 5/5 for the awesome four stories and the fantastic Author Chandrima Das. Thanks, Writers Club India for the book.
