A Drop Of You – Krishna Chetri

IMG_20200303_221142_618As I was in a reading spree, with romantic novels, I was eager to read this one. The cover is so beautiful and it caught my attention. The synopsis at the back of the book didn’t give away anything from the story. This book has poetry left right and center. It’s a huge positive of the book.
The book is about the Love Triangle among three closely-knit people Karma, Ghazal, Diana. Karma and Diana are childhood friends. Diana likes Karma but Karma falls for Ghazal. It’s love at first sight for Karma. He falls so badly for Ghazal. They share lots of poetry and music. Their love is so extravagant and unbelievable. The rapport between karma and Diana is delightful. I liked their conversations.
Many poems and shayaaris are given in between. I enjoyed the poetry. The narrative was smooth. The language was rich. I learned a few new words. There was not much of a story. It’s a simple story of three people. It reminds me of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. I couldn’t connect to the story at the beginning. But halfway through it gets interesting and I wanted to finish the book.
If you love reading romance novels then you should go for it. I would rate it 3/5. It wasn’t a total bliss but it wasn’t poison either. Thank you Writers Club India for the book.
